Strawberry & banana at the moment. Somedays I do like the pineapple, banana and coconut but some days I don't.

    Today is a S&B day

(edit: a second close? a close second I meant. heh.)

When tesco and asda had them on half price, we had about 6 cartons in the fridge at the same time
You can buy cartons of smoothies?

How much exercise do you do? Seriously, that's one of the most important factors when it comes to sleeping. Go on a 30 minute cycle one day and see if that helps...

Exercise-wise I'm very active. Walk over 4 miles a day, spend a lot for time running round my house up & down the stairs and dance like a demon all weekend

I used to cycle all over, but now I tend to walk, jog even rollerblade to various friends houses etc when out & about.

Saying that, a normal nights sleep for me is usually 4-5 hours a night so I'm not really missing much at all

also have insomnia. tried all the usual stuff - pills, alternative medicine, relaxation etc. my latest cure is exercise -get up when i wake up (bout 6) and go swim a mile in the pool soon as it opens, later on in the day go to the gym and walk everywhere (no car/bus0 during the day. so knackered by the evening i can usually get some hours in.

Get some reflexology. My mrs is a reflexologist in her spare time (as well as a nurse). Has a good success rate with insomniacs.

Your insomnia is punishment for being stuck in the 90s.

Had same trouble myself a few years back. Got checked out in every respect and I was completely fine so the doc tells me. Turns out like he says if you generally feel ok and only need a few hours sleep a night thats all the sleep your body actually needs. Everyones different so enjoy it My own sleep pattern went back to normal after a year.

    Only in excess...

Depending on the person 2 or 3 pints is enough to knock you out for the night. As long as you dont feel too pissed you wont need to get up to pee in the wardrobe or anything and you should sleep through.

    Yes.

They're ****ing expensive though - nearly £3 for a 1 litre carton. Innocent smoothies use non-concentrated fruit and no additives.

Jack Daniels, litre bottle, on the rocks, jobs a goodun replace the sleep problem for a drinks problem On a seriousl note, your body does only an hour for the brain to function. All you can do is try to get into a pattern caffine doesn't keep you awake if you have been drinking it for years as the body adapts to it. All you can really do is get into a pattern.

Cheers for all the advice etc .. I think what brandX said sums it up really. I don't feel tired at all, in fact the opposite so I'll just find more things to do with my new extended body clock until it reverts back to normal
