to be EXTRA honest, IE will load faster than Opera and FF, as IE is part of explorer, which is always running in Windows. (Of course this doesn't apply if you have a ton of crap adware addons with IE)

Ah yeah ok now i understand - yes a lot of IE is embedded in other apps so loading is normally quicker.

I think IE 7 is somewhat more detached. The shell intergration may be retained to an extent, but for instance when you type in an address in explorer; the site opens in a new IE 7 window.

I think its probably because of the tabs, but still, I find it fast and very effective
