DO you ever use your ONLINE name in real life?

My sirname is 'Kirby' and I used 'Kirb' for a while in various places (still do on msn), but it annoyed me too much when I tried to sign up for something and the name was taken. I invented my own one using random letters from my full name and making sure it had zero hits on google. Works fine for me.

most people use my real name, though several of my friends who also play online games have a tendancy to call me "monkey" irl (gaming nick used to be "suicidal_monkey", now shortened to "s_monkey") I don't mind either way.

Nah, first thing I do when I meet people IRL is find out their real name. I feel like a right muppet when people call me Rave, should have thought up a cooler name when I was registering TBH. Too late now though. My game handle is RavemasterX, so I feel even more daft when I'm chatting on TS.
