not sure if its just me getting it but on alot of sigs that dont have alot of content they seem to then have about 7lines below of nothing. if you see what i mean??

Yes I have noticed that and am testing some different solutions to the problem.

also noticed a change with the linking to pages button - it asks for the site you whish to link to and then when you click "ok" you expect it to say "enter the name for the link" or what ever it says, but now it just seems to put your link in the posting box twice !
its abit wierd, youd have to try it to see what i mean.....
Definately better than the last incarnation... I like the font...(ducks!)

font: 10pt tahoma, verdana, geneva, lucida, 'lucida grande', arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
saw that in the page source, not sure if thats the write font family

Verdana FTW. All my Samurize text is Verdana, living with it on a daily basis, its my favourite font
Veerrryy nice. I hate bloated fonts
I prefer bloated fonts, it's easier on my sensitive eyes hehe.
I guess I'll get used to it in time but props on the upgrade!
