    Channel 4 news gone ghetto?

...or am I just getting hard of hearing?

First when reporting on the homophobic murder in London, the presenter said that the man 'received a seeing-to' by his attackers. Just when I thought I was going mad a second presenter then reffered to David Cameron's alleged drug use as 'partying down on cocaine'.

I've noticed Channel 4 do this stuff all the time really. The guys at Channel 4 are great, for comedy and everything, great sense of humour, even with things on the news.

Sorry, I didn't mean it like that -- at all.

I'm just saying it's the way Channel 4 is, it's their personality, it's not like each person who works with Channel 4 has their own personality, it's like Channel 4 itself is one big personality itself.

Reminds me of a BBC news reporter interviewing a witness to the recent Bali bombing asking

"Was it a loud explosion?" ffs

No it was a kind of fizzle then a ppffft. News reporting these days is getting worse by the month.

The channel 4 news people always make little puns about things, esp that Guru Murphy bloke.

Problem is all to often people get emotional about it, and can take it the wrong way, whats really a shame is they fail to realise its their falt, and want to sue/complain to telivision standards commity about it!

Take the Peodophiles episodes of brass eye that was out in 2000. Its only funny because people belive all the daily mail histeria about that taboo. If you can't try and see the lighter side of things you will just be miserable, who is it that has "i told you i was ill" written on their tomb stone?

channel 4 news is pitched about right actualy, they deal with the serious stuff very responsibly but take the p* when they can see its really stupid - much like this tory candidate vote thing and the guy who 'did he/didn't he' take drugs...

Anyone watch BBC3 news at 7? Tis also a good laugh. Admitedly they do usually take the lighter news subjects, but usually with a more realistic take than most of the 'proper' news programs.

Ever see the report when they turned one of the new minions (how the secondary news readers on C4 news should be thought of) into a suebuteo man?
