    I've got a Sony-U30...
Its a great little camera to have...fits into my pocket and the photos I get from it at great...Its only a 2 Mega Pixel camera, but it fits my needs.
You can see my photos @ http://gallery.wormrage.com/ if you want some samples

I got mine via Ask Direct. And at the moment it's only £149
The only limiting factor with it is the supplied memory stick (8mb), but they can get picked up easily.

kodaks are pretty good - generally have decent lenses on - for your money you could get a 4230 - 2mp/3x optical zoom

Kodak are ok... Cannon are better tho in my experience.

    The PSA300 sounds good.

Its 2MP compared to the sonys 3MP though, although I do see it has a better zoom on it. Is the extra zoom worth loosing 1MP over?

Can you not stretch a little, the Canon A70 can be had for £220 and is a fantastic bit of kit.

i'd say that zoom is worth more than res - you rarely realistically need more than 2mp unless your zoomin in on a pic, and then you can just have zoomed in. also 2mp means less space needed on mem cards etc..

tbph in my experience Kodak's digital cameras are of inferior quality to others of the same spec, like Fuji, Canon, etc. Look on some review sites, such as www.dpreview.com and others which I can't remember... .... But it's your choice

definetly agree the A70 is very good for the price and highly recommended from magazines and users. the only niggle was that the images were alittle soft.
