I don't know about Leeds, but wildcat.co.uk do them upto 5mm. Although I wouldn't put anthing other than a curved/circular barbell/BCR in a PA, to be honest. Seeing as there is quite a bit of flesh for the ring to pass through - unlike the ear, the segment could nip a little. Which could hurt quite a bit.

I wouldn't believe what your piercist said, Elmo. Sounds to me like a snowballing rumour of some sort there. I also have to agree with knoxville there, too. When you buy new jewellery, unless it's in a sealed medical package (paper+plastic doodah that has to be ripped to gain access and isn't resealable), you should at least sterilise it by boiling it. Preferably, though, if you have a lab tech/piercist/tattooist friend - ask them nicely to autoclave it for you before you use it.

Wildcat, and many others ship jewellery in plastic sealer bags, whether the jewellery was mass autoclaved after production, they will most likely have been touched by unshielded fingers. Meaning, in basic terms - Dirty! Dirty! High Voltage!
