Hmm a mate got stabbed THREE times >:(

So what the hell? Scavengers who can't get a job have to steal of other people?

Heres the basic story; 3 of my mates (not really close mates, but I know them pretty ok at the least) were walking to get a pizza around 8.30 at night, and these three youths (I won't say their race/ethnicity to avoid racism etc lol) came up to them asking for whatever they have. Two of my mates legged it, and my other mate must have not quite been on the ball or something, as they all got him, and apparently beat the crap out of him and stabbed him three times in the leg. I haven't spoke to him or the others directly yet so I can't guarantee 100% accuracy on that, but I know that they tried running and he got stabbed in the leg three times.

Thankfully one of the muggers has been identified... which will probably lead to all three of them getting punished hopefully, since they all know each other obviously.

I'm sorry but there must be some really crappy parents out there to bring up youths like that.

But yeah, there does seem to be a marked increase in violence lately. Some guy started on me on saturday night for coughing on him (i was a good 2 bar stool table away and covered my mouth). Punched me in the back, dont know if he was just weak or didnt do it very hard, but if hadnt been with girlfriend i would have floored him, as it was i just ignored him and he ranted a bit before strolling off. Saw him getting thrown out of another place later that night.

Not to skirt the issue, but why even mention race at all. Not putting anything in parenthesis would have created the same effect. For that matter, you also ended up identifying a demographic anyway by mentioning their age. I'm not trying to jump all over you, but political correctness is a pet peeve of mine. While the intention is usually to deemphasize demographics, it usually ends up bring more attention to it.

Sorry it seemed that way, but I thought anyone deserves to know, and I am a youth myself so I find it really bad that these people carry on persuing the bad reputation that us youths of today have already got. I am also half English and half Filippino so I don't contradict the acts of what I do and say, and you are unlikely to find much bad blood in me. I wouldn't like to live in a place where we have to worry about merely mentioning key words which define some of us out here, but yes I know I used specifically 'youth', and all that in conjuction with a post about crime but I think you know what I mean?

i kno what you mean tho we (me and fraggie) found the rough bit of where we live last night on the way to the chinese shop two guys walked past and gave us a look to say you even go to make eye contact again and ill cut you up, then when we was in the shop 3 adult men where outside drinking beer and setting of fireworks in the middle of the street, i mean come on that isnt gonna set a good example to the youths is it.

Whoah! Don't apologize. I was not offended in any way. I was just nitpicking something that stood out to me in the post. I should be apologizing for taking to focus off the main topic.

Anyhow, a ridiculous situation. I won't try to get inside the mind of a criminal, but I don't understand the point of robbing some people who (I assume) are in school or fresh out of school. If I was a crazy criminal, I think I would be stealing from business people (better chance of a large payout). And that is discounting stabbing someone. I have no idea why a criminal would want to add assault to his rap sheet. Perhaps the jail conditions in your country are too favorable.

I don't think they knew he got stabbed when they were running. But I know what you mean, I would have tried to help them out a bit, even if it means a dropkick on the thug and then running with your mate. I obviously don't know how I would realistically react though, I mean the moment alone, different thoughts could be running through your head.
