I've had around 20 knocks on my door from trick-or-treaters so far, they started appearing mid September.

The word itself, "Halloween," actually has its origins in the Catholic Church. It comes from a contracted corruption of All Hallows Eve. November 1, "All Hollows Day" (or "All Saints Day"), is a Catholic day of observance in honor of saints. But, in the 5th century BC, in Celtic Ireland, summer officially ended on October 31. The holiday was called Samhain (sow-en), the Celtic New year.
Well I stand corrected then hehe but that damn "holiday" was popularised by them and now is the bane of most households across the country.

not going out to save money this haloween, instead im mindlesly runnign through maps on source trying to better my skill for an 'event' of great importance

if you are a boy its best not to appear as though you tried to hard with the costume, alot of girls costumes can look really good (and often quite kinky) with a small amount of effort on their part

so, ghost costume has got to be the best, just get your bed sheet drape it over you and walk out the door

then when you get there go to the drinks table, take sheet of and have a good night

now you dont look like a spoil sport OR someone who tries to hard

aside from the 'mate, you didnt need a costume to look scary' jokes my halloweens are not really much different from the standard house party etc in the end

i think as there are not any parties going on in petersfield this year im just gonna stay in and watch some scary movies (i believe channel 4 has a season dedicated to it right now?)

    have fun ladies and gents

TBH, id say men trying hard and making cool costumes is pretty cool (being a student i dont have much to do during the day .. hence all the monkey photochops) its nice when someone puts the effort in, and girls can see it too id say from last years at home when a few guys came in amazing nun's costumes and as mad doctors, caused quite a fuss dancing and to get pictures taken with them, certainly if i cba i would too

Swafe - no details, mainly cos i dont REMEMBER details, i just remember having the conversation and then knowing it really shouldnt have happened lol

Blokes in costume.... hmmm, to be honest, i'd have to say men SHOULD put in a lot of effort if they're going to bother getting dressed up at all. Blokes who just turn up with a sheet over their heads LOOK like they've made no effort and just cba. If you cant be bothered, then just dont. there's no point in making a half assed effort!

I'm sorting a pumpkin, and there are some youngens around who we don't mind obliging with sweeties, after all, it is a tradition around our street that MY generation of youngens started. (being the first people to move into our street and all)

I've only done the pumpkin beacuse I wanted to make soup too. (helping mum with diet, i made pumpkin, parsnip, carrot and onion soup. 10 (slimmingworld) points for the whole saucepan) and it was yummy.

Ah, halloween. I never really got into it much when I was young, and I don't really like the idea of "Trick or Treat", especially the "I'll slash your tyres and smash your windows" tricks.

Having said that, it is a great chance to dress up and have a good time with your friends. Last year I went to a party and dressed up as a Droog- White trousers, white shirt, braces, bowler hat, and the piece de resistance, False Eyelashes. Both on one eye, these were Diamante ones, and they were frankly awesome. I'm planning on redoing it for Monday

    Okay, rant time.

I can't be bothered to go out, because everywhere is been halloweenie tonight and i'm just not in the mood, i've written 10,000 lines of code since thursday, had too little sleep. I've no costume and i'm just not in the mood. Were is my refuse? Well some of my friends found one, fortet, but i've got too much work to do (because i've been a lazy boy!) and too little money to go up to oxford.

    Damn halloween.
