    Halloween :D!

ok, so halloween is on monday, but most places will be having their halloween specials over the weekend, so you should all have your costumes sorted by now!

    So! What's everyone going as?

I'm *THINKING* about "a pimp kitty" but i'll just end up going as a cat lol. Which reminds me, i need to finish me tail

I'm going to at least two halloween nights this weekend, along with it being the Relaunch weekend of the cathouse, which i've got invites to for all 3 nights CANT WAIT! I'm gunna be SO wasted ALL weekend!

    Costume? Halloween?

This is where I put my foot down. If I see one small child on 'trick or treat' I'm gonna lock it in the garage till next year or until it realises that such things should be confined to the USA.

(yes, I'm warming up the 'humbug' for the looming unmentionable national holiday)

Trying to sort out a booze up at a friends house, but you have to come in fancy dress.. I'm trying to get a gas mask off ebay (will have to insert a straw/tube thing under the mask so I can drink )

I'm gonna be making a Kill Bill style tracksuit that Uma wears in the fight scenes if I have time. The yellow Tiger trainers that match are a bit pricey though.

Beats the traditional witch and devil costumes

I'm going to target and buying a child costume (whichever is cheapest--I suspect it will be harry potter). I don't think it will fit, but the cape will do just fine. I wanted to do incredible hulk, but it's just getting too cold here.

    Trick or Treating sucks..

Give us stuff or we'll do something nasty to your house... It's just blackmail by a different name.

And that sounds uber-grumpy but I'm not. I'd quite happily give sweets and stuff to the little kids who come around all dressed up, but it's the 15 and 16 years olds who knock on the door with nothing but a rubber mask on and expect to get something.

Of course, these little so and sos are more capable of playing something more than a 'trick' on you... so rather than something innocent and fun like getting squirted with a water pistol of having 'boo' written in chalk on the path you get your car egged and floured and your aerial snapped off... All cos I wouldnt give a fun size Mars bar to the McDonalds employee reject who was hiding a fag behind his back wearing a rubber Frankenstein mask.

My kids aren't really allowed to go trick or treating, they are older now so they never bother but when they were little us and other parents made arrangements just to go to each other's houses, i'd never allow them to call on people that werent expecting them

We never usually get any trick or treaters anyway, Max can see their costumes and flashy lights through our glass front door he hates them, so barks very very loudly at them, which means they don't hang about

I don't ever recall the UK being the 51st state of the USA and kids who trick or treat are nothing but a nuisance .

yes, i'm going to be wearing a corset, hence looking thinner and sporting a flat tummy image i'm a bit worried about my legs tho :S they're a bit like tree trunks poking out the bottom of a PVC dress, but i'll don some pink fishnets to detract from the shape

As for trick or treating, because i live in an area with loads of kids, we did go out guising, but we ALWAYS had a parent with us. Halloween gets better as you get older tho, cos you can get away with better (kinkier?) outfits, and you get to go to "halloween" nights every night for an entire weekend and drink yourself stupid

    Agree with Nick

    Kids = yes

Anyone over 12 can feek orf as far as im concerned. No scally chav scummer is getting any of our money/amrs bars. In fact anyone old enough to have theirs ears pierced is too old for trick and treating- especially if they are wearing gold hoops

Just as an interesting* bit of trivia...

Halloween is an annual celebration, but just what is it actually a celebration of? And how did this peculiar custom originate? Is it, as some claim, a kind of demon worship? Or is it just a harmless vestige of some ancient pagan ritual?

The word itself, "Halloween," actually has its origins in the Catholic Church. It comes from a contracted corruption of All Hallows Eve. November 1, "All Hollows Day" (or "All Saints Day"), is a Catholic day of observance in honor of saints. But, in the 5th century BC, in Celtic Ireland, summer officially ended on October 31. The holiday was called Samhain (sow-en), the Celtic New year.
    Halloween didnt originate in America

*please note- may not be interesting

edit: only the americans could make such a big deal out of the blatant non holiday that is halloween

No fancy dress for me this year, Last year however I went to a rather drunken house party as the punisher, that worked out fairly well tbh
