Health and Fitness Forum on Hexus?

Any chance of having a "Health & Fitness" sub-forum under "General" or "Lifestyle" if there's enough demand for one? (I hope I haven't missed it if it's already there!)

It could be the focal point for discussing gym workouts, food supplements, weight loss, aerobics, weight training (body building), stretching, nutrition, giving up smoking, medicine, cures for common ailments, healthy living in general, and so on.

Hopefully, i'm not the only one interested in these subjects! I think the General forum is too general for these types of discussions.

[Edit]: I just realised that this post should go into Hexus Suggestions.

It's sort of a lifestyle related topic. I agree though it would be good

They've discussed sub-forums like this before. A new sub-forum would require a mod to control it. There'd have to be enough demand in order for it to be created. To be fair, I've hardly seen many threads related to health and fitness around here, henceforth, no demand, no sub-forum

    Yeah.

It seems an ok reason, but I think it will be a no because of the reason Kezzer stated. Also, iirc, the mods don't even like some medical topics because it's not professional advice that is given (or something along the lines).

So if i hung out in the HEXUS.sweat forum for say an hour a day 5 days a week, would there be a visible improvment to my health and physical strength after a month or two ?

I do remeber an interesting study on calouries burnt at LANs whilst playing DM Quake 1

Of course it all goes back in again in the form of take-outs and pringels.

Hexus.Wellbeing sounds a good name for such a forum. A forum for general fitness related topics, nutrition and health cannot be bad thing IMO. I've spent all of this year regaining my fitness and i'm sure there are many Hexites who would want to improve their fitness levels.

I think it is a good idea. Well, I am a member of other fitness related forums, but it doesn't hurt to have a section in Hexus. I do visit Hexus relatively often.
