stopping unwaned bidders bidding on your ebay items! can it be done?

hi just wondering if its possible to stop unwanted bidders from bidding on your auctions for instance the ever so smart and subtle nigerians or people with no feedback
or nigerians with no feedback

I didnt know you could do that. I shall be making use of that in future- no paypal, no deal. Im not going all the way to my bank to cash a £3cheque, as i have had to do in the past, again...

personally I use the immediate payment required. It means they can't actually try and scam you out of the stuff unless you have a working, valid PayPal account.

Ditto I use this too Although paypal is by no means a guarenteed payment method anymore ;/ Can still come back to haunt you months later ( i remember a thread about this a few months back)

yeah i think i read that too, didn't someone sell something (a flash unit?) over paypal, buyer got it, said it works great etc then came through a payment retraction notice or something - poor guy lost the money the buyer had paid in. either it was a paypal screw up (more than likely) of the buyer was a serious a hole, but really shouts out that paypal doesn't give a toss what happens cause they make money out of it all either way and don't answer emails from buyers/sellers either... thankfully I only use it for small payments. anything big and its a cheque - way safer and I can call my bank and speak to a PERSON if there's a problem.

tbh, its not fool proof, I had money siezed by PP this week, claiming a chargeback, I emailed them, and I know for a fact I am fully covered, but heard nothing since.

They still got my money too

i make a point f leaving as little in my paypal account as possible for just this reason

if its something expensive i'm selling i won't accept paypal, only nochex - means a few less bidders but it also means less villans, chargebacks are lame

no they can hold it until it has been researched.

And leaving money in it or not makes no difference.....mine is showing a negative balance at the mo lol
