    Which 9800pro?

Im looking for a graphics card to compleate this below system, and was looking at a ati 9800pro

    Athlon XP 2600+ (2.08Ghz)
    Abit NF7-S Ver2
    x2 256mb TwinMOS PC3200

I have a mate selling this one (used) linky (Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro Ultimate - 128mb DDR AGP DVI/TV-Out Retail)

The heatsink is a deffonate plus as i would be swaping that for a zalman if it had a fan (although i alreadly have one anyway)
    - But i just remember somthing about the later 9800's not being so good, and im not sure what this one is?

unless your overclocking it won't really matter and I wouldn't recommend ocing on a passive heatsink anyway.

just get the cheapest one you can find is my advice...

Ebay is your best friend oshta as most if not all AGP based cards are now obsolete, you'd especially be hard pressed to find a 9800pro in any generic e-shop although I'd imagine one can still relatively easily find a 9800pro All-In-Wonder

You should be able to nab a respectable (Sapphire) brand of the card on there for between £60 - £130; prices vary, the more standard 9800pros cost towards the £60 mark and the All-In-Wonder varients cost towards the £130 mark...Good hunting...

Thats sounds fair to me. Make sure the 9800 pro has a 256bit memory interface (the ones with 128bit memory interface are the rubbish ones) Note this has nothing to do with the card being 128mb
