How long have you spent gaming?

Today, Trippledence and I decided that in our boredom we'd work out how much of my life has been spent playing computer games. Before we started, we worked out how long I'd been alive in days:

    My Life: 6356 days

Before breaking down how long I've spent -- or remember spending -- on various MMOs:

    Evercrack: 56 days
    FFXI: 14 days
    GuildWars: 4 days
GaiaOnline: 60 days (whilst not strictly a game, I spend enough bloody time on it.)
    Phantasy Star Online: 2 days
    City of Heroes: 1 day
Assorted Console Games: 96 days (at least, in the past 4 years.)

    TOTAL: 233 days

That's over 1/30 of my life so far.

    -

Now, my question is; have you ever considered how long you've been spending playing various games and/or how much of your life you've been wasting?

I'm really not too worried, myself; in my life I'm 'supposed' to have slept for around 2118 days, around 480 of which have been in the last 4 years. I'm not going to go so far as to suggest that ALL of my gaming takes place at night when I should be sleeping, but a good amount of it does. And yes, that does make me feel ever so slightly better.

Had I had it four years ago, or if it tracked my console gaming, then possibly. But I didn't, so it couldn't. XD

Yohji: It's pretty scary how it all adds up, no?

Tripple: Pfft. Like there's anything else to do in Cornwall? XD

I have played Guild Wars for 135 hours in total since I bought it shortly after release, on top of that I have played to completion Quake 4, F.E.A.R and GUN since October alone this year just to name a few. I tend to start playing something then drop it for a while and go to something else then go back to it at a later date and complete it unless its huge and I will get a few other games started inbetween.

Longest session I have spent gaming was American McGees Alice, I had been playing it briefly and had uncovered a third of the map and left it. Few weeks later I bought a few new games so decided to sit up and complete it in one sitting. Took me around 11 hours to get through the lot. I did stop to eat etc but really needed sleep after it !

Unreal Tournament: Adds up to a few days I would have thought
Half Life 2: Couple of days' worth
    Far Cry: See above
Need For Speed Underground onwards: See above
    Other: See above

Total: About a week. (Total hours added up, not "I played UT for an hour yesterday, so that counts as one day), or:

18 years old = 980 weeks old (counting this year as well.. Birthday in Feb). Therefore 1/980th.

I think I have the balance right between going out and playing games but I'm still known as the pasty white geek by a few at work ( mainly the rest of NFF ) and the people at gameon.co.uk

I cannot work out how much time I've played games as I've had computers and consoles since I was 4 years old ( Atari 2600 anyone? ) so thats 23 years of gaming goodness.

Jon has a whole range of Consoles that he's collected over the years and he built his PC with gaming in mind yet it's very rare for him to actually sit and play a game, the last game he spent any amount of time on was FF7 years ago
