I got a 17" Digimate TFT from Aria in the summer. It has 5 stuck pixels in near enough the same place yours is. Aria return policy was 7 or more

    Edit: Technophreak yes it is
I had a lovely experience with iiyama twice. Both occasions they came and picked my monitor up from my door when I specified. Pity they cant do the same. Anyway good luck with it.

was going to suggest this... i have a dead pixel smack bang in the middle of my screen, but if i give it a rub diagnally to the top left of it, it dissapears.. if i catch it just right it stays gone... takes a while (few weeks) before it reappears, and i repeat the process... doesnt bug me anymore.

I've got the same one and there isn't a dead pixel in sight!

Unlucky Howard on your TFT, it must hurt bad when you spend so much money on a nice monitor, only for it to be in an unacceptable standard (in my eyes) and not being able to do a thing about it.

I have heard you can 'massage' the dead pixel away, but don't take my word on it.

Sorry guys, but it's not just Aria (or anyone's) company policy, it's an international standard for dead pixels, believe it or not.

ISO 13406-2 states that there has to be a certain amount of dead or stuck pixels before a screen can be declared as faulty. This is not brand specific or supplier specific, it's an industry rule.

Some manufacturers or suppliers may do you a favour and replace it for you, but they're unfortunately not legally obliged to do so.

Google for "13406-2" and you'll see a load of pages from various manufacturers and suppliers stating exactly the same thing.

That sucks , i sympathize with you
I've had generally good luck, no dead pixels on my Digimate 17" tft or 16" Sony Laptop screen, but somehow I managed to get a Nokia 7610 that must've had 2 or more pixels stuck on green... was the most irritating thing in the world especially since a phone is so small anyway, sent the bugger back and got something else!

Here you go, have one of mine.

    Infact, have all of them

Tbh, if it's ebuyer damage it and send it back. They do nothing even when threatened with court action and cost me loads of cash in lost sales and money out of my own pocket.

This is one of the things holding me back from buying a TFT when I build my next desktop (perfectly happy using laptop atm - then for uni plan to use tablet + desktop). I however want the 23" apple cinema HD display £949!!!!!!

I know it sucks especially with the cost but it happens, I'm with the others on making a line across the screen or something.

The worst way to find them is by thinking it's some dust or a mark, you give the screen a wipe and it refuses to budge

Wasn't there an amendment to the law about a year or so ago to say that any electrical equipment delivered to you that was reported to not be satisfactory (by your own standards) within 7 days could be replaced, to combat this whole dead-pixel thing amongst others?

Surely someone at Scan will know this?
