apologise if its allready been explained and i havent found the thread (i have searched, and looked).

whats with these funky 'stop war' avatar type pics that keep poping up everywhere, im also seeing peoples avatars appearing in the middle of peoples posts.... i dont understand

I haven't seen anything like that.
At a guess i'd say its your browser/proxy mixing up images. I've had problems in the past - one time when I was using http pipelining and another time when my ISPs proxy went crazy.

Have you tried clearing your cache?

BTW, The best one i have seen is the one that looks like the Star Wars logo. I saw the singer from Radiohead wearing a t-shirt with it on once.
