    Overall brands I despise include
Overclockers (BNP card members selling RMA's grrr)
Sony (for stylish but overpriced PC's)
PC World (if only for the lack of staff knowledge and their "if we don't stock it it's not worth having" attitude)

    Niggles
    Nvidia "MX" cards (pur-leese)
Hypermemory/turbocache and other "it's rubbish tech, so lets give it a sexy name to hide that" (see above)
Leadtek for stoopid product names "Winfast 5000 TDH exteme OC Max Wizard"
GPU manufactures in general who rather than put the product on the package think a picture of an elven queen or a wizard is more like it.
GEIL, for sheer volume of problems I have had with their memory, even though it looks good.

    Rant over :-)

    Thanks for listening

NTL digibox software is also still crap, they may have come a long way since the cable and wireless versions, but their software is still the slowest I have ever used (making the EPG un-usable, thank god for tivo) and it still doesnt make use of half of the features of the pace boxes (look at all the un-used sockets on the back for example).
TBH, the Telewest digibox (Scientific Atlanta) is equally crappy, software-wise. If I want to see the information on a program in the EPG I have to go into it, face a blank screen, go back and do it again. It sometimes hangs, too, requiring a quick trip to the socket.

The broadband service is pretty faultless, though.

grr @ ntl, re-inforcing my dislike for them, even tho i have not been a customer for months ;/
HAHAHAH what a joke. You clearly havent used their broadband products at peaktime, nevermind teleport or the stupid guide system thats just as bad as NTL's cable tv boxes...so before you go touting Telewest as the saviour you might want to update yourself.

There's a snowball's chance in hell of me switching back to AOL, but the adverts would be great nonetheless .

    DAMN THEM!!!

My laptop is on its way back for the fifth time, was picked up today

Each time it is 'repaired' they replace the motherboard, but it fails within two days - wont even turn on! This time I have enclosed a letter demanding a new laptop, probably wont do anything though

Arianet - aria's own brand. bad quality assured.

overclockers uk. bad quality and bad customer service guarantee.

    Dabs-imsorrywearentallowedtotalktoyouoverthephonesoemailusandwewillignoreit.com

NTL-grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. close to the top of my $hitlist. they have an automated telephone service for paying your bill that closes when customer services does. every other month they disconnect me even when the bill has been paid, then apologise and 'credit' me with the £20 disconnection fee, then the following month its on my bill and the person i spoke to no longer works there.

    wonderful.

Have you thought of using Direct Debit?

schmunk, i did pay by direct debit but had to cancel it because of the constant overcharging. so now i just pay the bill over the phone when it arrives. oddly though, they still regularly overcharge me.

ill be moving house next year, so ill use someone else.
