thats like when the microsoft online map software directed you through europe and scandinavia and back to the UK for a 50 mile journey
I'm sure they'll fix the bug once this starts appearing in Inboxes all over the country
Google directions arn't too hot doing anything. It'll never travel 1 mile away from the destination to pick up a big road that leads stright to it.
I did wonder if that was James Bonds root in that spy boat
Sure you're not thinking of AA? There was something in the AA paid for software in the news (so not the free online one) which if you selected no motorways would take you through europe for a couple of days just to get between a couple of cities over here.Originally Posted by Funkstar
did you see the one on top gear where that women wanted to avoid a certain road and the aa route planner took her through ireland down to france and back over to england to her destination.
Thats the one ^^Originally Posted by Ramedge

Hang on whilst I run for my drumkit.Originally Posted by Stewart
No. Leave the drum kit where it is and run and get your drum sticks. Same result, much less effort.
Why all the fuss about this? It's the Blackwall tunnel under the Thames...
TomTom never actually takes any notice if you select "ignore motorways" on a major trip that needs motorways
It does, however, take you on some STRANGE detours if you select an alternate route/get lost, or just in general. I've been directed down the stupidest of single track dirt roads, when there's a perfectly good B road nearby
