truely a fashion statement.
at work we have a metal push button to open the door to get out of our office. This girl cannot let herself out as she will always receive a shock from the lock
Don't be a wuss
I don't like static shocks either. If I touch something and it shocks me I'm always hesitant to touch it in the future

I keep getting shocks off the screws holding on my light switches at home. I'm not yet sure whether this is a symptom of static electricity or I'm getting little 230v shocks...
I get shocks ocasionally from my car door... Did from my old car too once or twice... I'm cursed

I too get a high static charge build up, i get it in the gym and in my car, but also sometimes when i shake peoples hands.
apparently if you get a shock from your car it hasnt been earthed properly.
As for fleeces, wear a sheep skin instead, none of this synthetic fibre sweaty crap.

Maybe we could start a new fashion by wearing anti-static wrist bands.
presently I carry a small terminal screwdriver in my pocket at all times to act as a lightning rod.

I am a sucker for generating static. I get jolts all the time from cars, doors and even my chair at home. You can tell when I'm having one of those days as my hair starts to go outwards slightly until I touch a metallic object and discharge myself manually.
Humidifier
Never get shocked by my clothes, but apprently i got shocked by others people fleece like 2-3 times a day, almost used to it.
