Legallity of Fake IDs

What is the legallitys of Fake IDs? I assume they are legal, as they sel them in back of FHM etc.

Would printing off a scaned in copy of a drivers lisence (with photoshoped photo ) be legal if it wasnt actually used to prove who you were, or used with anything to do with driving/car etc.

IIRC () they come with a giant sticker on them saying 'this is not a real ID'...which you then peel off

With offical documents, i belive its illegal.

What about foreign official documents? Any any you can think of that would be easy to fake the accent of . I can't speak french, and I am not american etc lol

Fake ID's are for 'Novelty Purposes only' So many of my mates have them for "fancy dress parties and roles in movies"

Are there any good fake ID "companies" that make realistic ones, without having to send an SAE to them, and that people would accept as real. For role playing parties of course. We often make pretend bars and make people id everyone, with ... fake id... for fun... umm...

They generally become a problem legally when you use them as proof your 18, if someone says can i see some ID when your buying boos, and you hand over a fake one, thats ilegal, but when ur < 16 etc the punishments are pathetic.

Most places will only accept certain types of ID, in my days as a bar manager anything other than a Portman Group proof of age card, passport, or photo driving license was no good.

The portman group ones arent accepted anywhere anyway in my experience. Most places only accept passport or driving licences.

I'm just going to stitch my passport onto my breast and whenever I get hassle from a bouncer or anything, up goes the shirt of powah

was funny a couple of years ago, when a bar in the US wouldn't accept my NZ drivers license and wanted to see my passport. considering i only needed my drivers license to rent a car earlier that morning made the whole episode quite amusing.
