I'd go with Fernando Alonso personally. Shumacher is definately a threat but I think Alonso has the edge, as was shown on Sunday. Even when Shuey was gaining on him Alonso still kept him at bay. Lets not forget that Ferrari had done the most testing at Barhain and it was widely expected that they would have some advantage and it was sort of proven. Massa managed to get on the front row but fell away, I think that throughout the course of the season we will see Renault and Honda as the two strongest teams.

i personally think kimi has it this year. the car is superb, his driving is slightly toned down from last years all out racing style he had (admittadly the car was his only downfall)

hopefully they can pull it together this year

If McLaren can find some kind of reliability over the whole weekend (no engine blowouts in practice forcing them back 10 places etc) I think they will be the team to beat. As was mentioned above Ferrari were expected to do best on the track they have tested on extensively, and they still didn't dominate as they have done in the past.

I think if Button can get a win early in the season he will be a contender, but if he doesn't then I think it will be between Raikonnen and Alonso with Schumacher on the fringes.

Next year will be interesting too as everybody will be on Bridgestones so Ferrari will have a real advantage over the rest of the field, and even if MS doesn't win the championship this season, I think he'll stay because there's a good chance of success next year.

I'd like to see Kimmi win it even if that is just because he was both unluckly last year and to keep the title moving between manufacturers. So it is also more of a battle.

But most of all I'd like to see Jenson win some races, as the more top drivers win races the more competative it will become :-)

I'm getting well into F1 this year, even managed to get myself a fantasy team with Autosport. I think Alonso will win but I want Button to finally get some credit for his great driving. It's just a shame that his car keeps letting him down.
