    Foreign Coin

    Can anybody tell me what language is on the coin below? I'm looking at some old coins for my nana but can't google this as I don't know what language/year it is.

    from the writing and the fact that theres a turban on the dude id guess its from somewhere middle eastern. whats the other side like?

    Id probably guess either UAE or egypt, maybo morroco, but thats mainly because theyre popular tourist destinations

    Nope, the coin used to belong to my grandfather (passed away about 7 years ago), he travelled the world during WWII and such, so he used to collect a lot of them.

    I think it's from the Far East/Asia. It's not Arabic writing as far as I can tell. I would hazard a guess at somewhere like Sri Lanka.Thailand or that region.
