    rather that say loud, you could say tuned low with lots of power, it makes a hell of a difference to how the box is designed and built.

    loud at high frequencies = hurts your head
    loud at sub frequencies = knocks the air from your stomach

    both are sound pressure, it just feels different when it makes your rib cage resonate
