No I don't complain about the cold cos it's possible to do something about it.
Yes, it's so hot my teeth actually melted. Roll on winter.
Yes it is a bit warm, but I like it that way, more of the same please.
No, it's not hot enough, I've still got my coat on, and a deathwish.
No 'cos I'm off on Holiday and couldn't give a fig about people left behind in an office.
No I don't complain about the cold cos it's possible to do something about it.

The heat is pretty bad, I don't mind a bit of warmth now and again but when its hot and there is very high humity and zilch wind its pretty crap. Walking to work is really bad at midday. Arrive and feel like I need to collapse. Thank god i work in a constantly chilled area
Gotta say that long days, bright mornings, beautiful evenings, glorious sunshine, plants and flowers, birds singing, people looking happy (when they're not stuck in the office), blue skies beat the crap of of cold, bitter, windy, wet, dark horrible winter time any day of the week, week of the month, month of the year....
What's the worst you can say about the summer? It's hot, and perhaps sticky if the humidity is up. I can think of a hundred more to describe winter....

Can you not add another option to the poll?
"No 'cos i live in Aberdeena dnwe get crap weather"
I wish i could sit on my ass in an office in 35C. I have to work on a shop floor, doing manual work, in 35C.
only done retail in a supermarket, thankfully the amount of fridges and freezers in there kept it pretty damn cold AT ALL TIMES OF THE YEAROriginally Posted by Smokey21
having a hot workplace makes that pint at lunch tast so much better
Its a bit humid but not too bad, perfect beer garden weather tbh.
Yes! thats the quote!Originally Posted by Knoxville
My thoughts exactly. At lunch time when I venture out of the air-con, it's a bit too sticky, but at 5:30 when i get home it's perfect to sit in the garden in the shade and crack open a tinny.Originally Posted by MadduckUK

Bit cooler here today, but there is some Major thunder and downpours scheduled according to the weather.
It's bizarre as we've had some fairly serious flash floods in Manchester, with Irlam and Oldham having some nice deep puddles.
Time to get another UPS or run home and unplug all my electrical stuff because if it's as bad as what Sunday was, we're in for a bad night.
ooh 6000 posts - eek

The 5-day weather forecast on the BBC site shows that night-time temperatures whould be more bearable by this weekend, so that's good news.
Is it me or does it *feel* slightly cooler today even though my thermometer says otherwise? Perhaps our bodies acclimatise over a period of a few days?
You can acclimatise, but in my experience it takes more like a couple of weeks, depending on exposure.
There's no upper limit on temps for health and safety reasons in the UK, annoyingly.
'Tis lovely in the evenings though.

Fortunately I've just moved to an office where the windows actually open wide. In the old office last year the temperature went above 40°C.
During the storm on Sunday I was sitting in my bedroom watching the individual lighting bolts flashing down somewhere in the distance. The storm also knocked out the roof unit of the server room's air conditioning system at work.
