    New Desks?

    Hey All,

Iam building a small(ish) studio in my bedroom and iam looking for some desks to make it up.

Iam looking to put 2 30" apple displays on it so maybe two desks side by side will be required, something with a corner and an additional desk on the side for a laptop of other hardware, i have looked at Soho range from john lewis but it has large joints which will be hard to put a keyboard or monitor on.

If you have any suggestions i would like to know :-)

    Cheers

Does it include all 3 parts (desk, corner, desk) for £49.99?

I've got an Ikea Jerker. Great desk, and is huge, but no corner unit.

I've got one of these http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/6210052.htm

You need to add two end bits to it from the range - ie cupboard, drawers etc. It gives a ridiculously large desk area - I have on it two laptops, a 19'' tft, 26'' hdtv, printer and xbox 360 and when it's not littered with CDs and stuff which really should be in the drawers, you still have a reasonably large area to work with. Eg. if for some reason you wanted to write

However it was bloddy hard to build - I did it on my own even though you're meant to have 2 people

I use one of these with the desktop seen here in blue (Curvy one)

I'll admit i only use it because my dad's fairly senior in the company so i get everything free but it is a very good desk, ergonomically perfect and very solid (and heavy). When we moved house 2 removal men struggled to get this up the stairs.

Then matched with the chair here seen in top middle which is also amazingly comfortable and ergonomic

Do you remember what your desk is called? I can't find it on the Focus site .

The soundsticks have amazing sound quality. My friend has them. *jealous*

I have no idea! we just walked into Focus and saw it there and bought it was a couple of years ago now but they do keep restocking them, so keep checking

The Soundsticks have fantastic quality, so clear sounding and they have to be listened to at full volume

Staples have a similar, if not identical corner glass desk and only started stocking it a couple of months back rather than a couple of years so you're more likely to find it. Think it's closer to £80 than £50 though.

I got a tabletop and a couple of trestles from Habitat. Wasn't the cheapest, but it's about 180cm x 80 cm of frosted glass goodness. Gotta have the space for it, but I can really spread out my junk (ooooeerrr missus )

    Some nice desks there folks

You know what I did when I moved. Took the old kitchen cupboard complete with work top and modified that for my PC desk.

The work surface is great ( when polished ) for gliding a mouse over, and I've got tons of space underneath for disc storage and my sub-woofer + the odd 100 cups of coffee that seem to gather there
