Most grammar mistakes used in everyday life don't particularly bother me, as the English language can be a bit daft at times, but if you're taking money from someone who relies upon you to create a sign that advertises your business, it shouldn't be too much to expect them to be able to use the English language properly.

There's a place near me with a sign advertising it as a 'Delicatessan'. I will try and get a photo of it for you
Cheers, I just want to get it up and running. My girlfriend hates it when we're driving along and I'll shout "Look at that!". she doesn't get it bless her. I'm glad there's so many people who share my view on this.

I agree completely; apostrophes are used in specific places for specific reasons, and their misuse can completely alter the meaning of a statement. Likewise, proper grammatical construction of statements is important. For instance, in a recent case a gentleman who was the subject of an ASBO was effectively banned from a town centre unless he was drunk, simply because the person drawing up the terms of the ASBO couldn't write a sentence properly.

Actually, he was right; in this context, "prescriptive written English" is a singular noun modified by two cumulative adjectives.

    Hahaha yes...

I loved Modern Toss when I first watched it, but it's suffering from 'Little Britain' syndrome - the same jokes with different punchlines every week.

Although Sneezeman does make it worth watching

edit: I'm assuming that's what you were talking about?

WoW. You can't argue with that!

Excellent site by the way. Both myself and my girlfriend are constantly pointing out signs with poor grammer/spelling. Keep up the good work!

Here's hoping this has a positive effect on some of the posts on the Hexus forums

A personal pet hate of mine is misplacing of commas when using parenthetical subclauses:

    Incorrect:
Your misplaced comma was annoying, and upon encountering it, I was reduced to a state of apoplectic fury.

I need to get out more, don't I?

I saw a cement mixer with "Phone us to get ur hole filled", not particularly grammatically incorrect, but funny all the same
