    300gb Seagate USB backup drive

Just picked up one of these beasts:

But the 300 version, for the bargain price of £99. (Maplin!)

The backup software on the disk CMS Bounceback express, doesn't work. Infact it kills my PC.
It pretends to install then freezes.

How many Hexusites use backup software and what do you use? (Also, is it good?)

I bought a 400gb one - out of interest how much was the 500Gb version?

You're right though - the CMS software is teh suck. I'm using Acronis True Image, which is great and (reasonably) cheap for it's feature set.

I got the 300 but that was the best pic - Did the software not work/freeze your pc, and refuse to uninstall or is that just my luck?

Naw it worked fine, it was just pants as I am using the drive to backup various machines on my network, so I played the uninstallation game with it (which it did fine as well)

Lucky you! I need to use mine for 3 machines anyway, so I'll download True Image.

    Cheers!

You could use something like this in a batch file:

    Code:
    xcopy c:\ e:\ /e /v /c /i /q /g /h /r /k /y > backup.log
