I have a budget of £500... to build a PC for games.

I didnt carry this thread on, in the previous thread i made about fsx, as i didnt think that it was the right place to ask a near, but not similar question!

    I have a £500 budget...
I already have DVDRW, Case with 450w PSU, 250 gig sata hdd, keyboard, mouse and monitor....

What mobo, processor, ram, gfx card should i get?
    I can spend around £500!

    Hi Stinger161

    (Edited by PD HEXUS)

In my opinion, you should go for:

    Asus A8N-SLi Premium nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ (Socket 939)
    GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC3200 Value Dual Channel Kit CAS3

Yes, go for a Socket 939, because they have gone so cheap it is unbelivable. The above bundle could cost around £365.

Now with the graphics, it is a bit harder to choose becasue it all depends on what you are going to use the computer for.
I wold suggest you go for the EVGA GeForce 7600 GT 256MB GDDR3 HDTV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express). Also it is SLi ready so you can slap in another one if you wanted to.

    I hope this helps.

(Edited by PD HEXUS) Scan have some fantastic bundles on atm, check out their current today only offers. I would go for the E6600 bundle.
