6 posts in 5 minutes on this thread now!

That must indicate an increase in the number of posts!

EDIT// 7 minutes then, because I type too slow

it depends, hexus posts tend to be much more spread out than i've seen on other forums where there will often be a glut of reply to a thread and then no-one will post for hours. But some forums are also less active now than they used to be- the displays and 3d one comes to mind
    AMD3000+ ATIX800XL + GBNF44x mobo.. all at stock because they're good enough atm + CA A1 amp-->Mission 73S Loigtech MX1000 + 1GB ram + 1/3 TB HD array
Wintendo XP + Linux (when it works) .. just incase you were wondering

Hexus has always been a busy forum which is partly why I've started posting so much over the past few weeks. There have been many topics of interest to read and respond to which is no bad thing by a long shot!
An Atlantean Triumvirate, Ghosts of the Past, The Centre Cannot Hold
The Pillars of Britain, Foundations of the Reich, Cracks in the Pillars.

My books are available here for Amazon Kindle. Feedback always welcome!

Yeah, got to agree with that. Noticed that since the remodel of the forum structure, some of the more obscure 'buried' forums have gone silent. Software development certainly took a hit I noticed...

It's certainly busier, and the quality of threads is still fairly good.
Definately one of the most enjoyable forums to read.

My only gripe would be the forum layout, everythings a little, err...gobbledegoop.

yeah i think things are a little gobbledegook i think maybe there are too many forums and subforums, i understand why people wanted new forums but maybe those that don't get many posts could be merged with those that get more post's

I don't think there's too many forums, I think it's more a matter of them being disorganised.
There's quite a few that aren't used and there are others with names which aren't self explanatory so people don't know what they're for.

excluding the 14 customer support forums i make it 59 forums including subforums ( at 1.25am being knackered and holding eyes open with matchsticks) just wondering if anybody else thought maybe we've got too many over specialized forums. I mean how many forums do most hexites look at ?

Coco, check out this for a number of forum sections: http://www.avforums.com/forums/index.php

Looks ridiculous, you'd think it'd be serious overkill but it works really well.
All the sections are so self explanatory and so concise.

O.o on the other hand.. they have ~125,000 members and each topic area has about a thousand threads each..
