Has anybody used a Kneeling Chair?

Firstly, for those who are thinking 'what the devil is a Kneeling Chair':

Apparantly they're a specialist chair that gives an ideal spine position for sitting, especially when using computers.

I'm just interested cause they're also pretty small. I have a big leather chair in the Study, but I need something much smaller and tidier for the desk and PC in my bedroom. This thing would easily fit under the corner area of my desk too so in terms of size it'd be ideal.

But are they any good? Has anybody used one?
Can you actually sit on one for an hour or two without your legs falling asleep?

Most importanly, would you recommend one?

That image above is taken from Staples.co.uk but they're selling it for £49.99 which I believe to be way too much. Providing I get some thumbs up recommendations, I'll shop around for one.

Don't get one, I used to use one and had trouble with my back after use - so much for the perfect seating position...

Warren, do you find that it does help you sit up straight though?
I certainly crouch over when I'm sat at the PC.

I have used several versions of these chairs and they are horrible, put too much weight on knees and thighs.imo

I've found that yes, it does make you sit up somewhat straight, though the shoulders do still slouch. Also, it becomes too stressful on the back to maintain for too long, I find myself putting my legs in the wrong place after 20 mins.

I used one for several years and found it comfortable and eased the strain on my back considerably as I used to hunch over the PC. It gave up the ghost eventually and I bought a normal chair instead . I have to say I've not noticed much difference since because I've learnt to sit up straight! I found the kneeling chair very good but it did bug me somewhat that it angled me right into the monitor. It seems that YMMV, Give it a whirl and see if it does you any good. No harm in trying it out!

Now it's getting interesting! Decisions decisions.

I can't really find any other small chair sollutions so I think I might just give the kneeling chair a whirl.

    wedge

Would a 'wedge' to put on the chair work to improve your posture? It would bring your upper body closer to the computer which might solve the tendancy to lean closer to it.
