Exclamation Calling all people from the Fair City of Birmingham and surrounding areas

I'm lucky enough to have tickets to see Eddie Izzard this fine evening , but I'm left with the fun of transport.

I'd like to be good to the environment and get a train. However, the problem is that I shall have to be getting back from the NIA.

According to thetrainline.com , the last train back to Milton Keynes from new street is at 22:45. I've been assured by the NIA that the show finishes at 22:30.

To me this is cutting things a little fine.

As the show starts at 18:30 I'm gonna get stuck right in the middle of brum rush hour if I drive, which will be <ozzy ozbourne>'orrible</ozzy>

    Any suggestions ?

id reckon thats cuttin it fine, its a good walk from the NIA new street is and moore street, even moore

im not sure how they do it at the NIA, as ive only been twice - but whenever ive been to a show theres its finished at 11pm, it always does at the academy as well, if they say it finishes at 10:30 then it might - but in my experiences they close the show at 10:30 then the band always come back on do to some encores or play more songs - with eddie this might be different but not sure

from NIA to new street id say a 10 minute walk - maybe 15 so cutting it fine you are - thats if you know your way around brum as well.

rush hour? well ive never been to town at 6:30 but id imagine it would be quite busy especially with all the people tryin to get to the NIA, my advice is to leave the show a bit before the end of the show -to make sure you dont miss the train, its a bit annoying missing it so you might want to drive - i dont think it will be as busy as you'd expect, but youll probably get caught up in traffic somewhere

Leave a little early, you'll be very lucky to do it in 15mins. I think some people are underestimating the distance here !
