I've had emails like this before for eBay sales and it's a definite scam. Don't bother replying at all, just ignore it and run away fast!

Thanks for all the advice everyone... I'll register and second chance it. Interistingly I've had alot of spam on this auction from another zero-quero trying to advertise their supposed shop and a burst of eBay spam stating I contacted a certain member when I didn't! The eBay one was a little surprising, didn't really see the point of it as all the links in it were real eBay links!
I get this all the time, you can report them all to ebay if they are asking to buy / sell outside of ebay. The most common one I get is about a Dell Prescision M20 or some similar laptop. Ebay should make reporting these emails / accounts to them much easier, ie a "Report This" button next to the email, or auction or account... however, as it is, it's a bit awkward finding the section needed on their website...

I quite agree, when I started eBaying I got an influx of them and reported them and just can't be bothered now... too much hassle.
we got that when i tried to sell wifes d600 they offered silly cash for it was about 300 or 400quid and i got word for word about same email from them
and they didnt get as good as a reply as you gave
lot of swearing and lots of options of what to do with some goats
Just be as rude as you like with your response to these scammers, I get loads of these with my sales on ebay. It's always western union payments and stuf like that. Tell them to fook off and get a job
btw: They will not pay you EVER and you will have a job getting your listing fees refunded etc. These 'people' are just trying to get you to send the stuff by duping you and hoping you fall for it
Scumbags
Be rude, be very rude
edit: It's really time ebay did something about this, they make millions every day and cba to get this sorted (prolly coz they can still charge people who are victims of this ).

I recall having trouble getting fees refunded when I sold something else and the buyer refused to pay (after his around 50 100% ratings!).
UPDATE: Well the second chance offer was turned down, and the bitch closed her account (assuming it's a she due to the usename) - eBay have however refunded not just the final value percentage fee, but the listing fee aswell... so annoyed, yes. frustrated, yes. about to kill eBay, no. That 50 quid of fees was really going to sting if they hadn't refunded them.
Sounds like both account were the same person, trying t5o force you into the dodgy sale. Oh well, list again, better luck next time.
50 quid of fees?
£49.30 to be precise!
For some reason, I though it was a phone that you sold, was it a laptop? That would explain it
wow thats alot of fees, i thought about putting stuff on ebay before how do they work out what the fees are is it a percentage
Yup, there's a listing fee based on the criteria for the look and feel of your description and a large one for setting a reserve; then it's a percentage of the final value price. Whack fees into eBay help for more info.
