The only real difference i can see is that you get a few images on the right hand side on a search as well as the main listings. oh, and no adds or sponsored links.

Hitting the space bar on the results page is quite cool.

Its not really a new 'Google testing site' its a new search engine altogether.

Nothing special really, one of the features listed is the ability to type in the seach box without clicking...is that really a feature?

Also Google already has images in its standard searches, it only comes up occasionally though and I think it might be yet another beta of theirs.

And as for no banners or sponsors or advertising, that will come don't worry about that.

"Mash it" could have worked... 5 years ago.

Type without clicking is a javascript. Google has it. Similar to the "Setfocus" in VB. I'm 7th in it. I like it

Carphone Warehouse also has it which is a complete pain when you hit the back button and instead of returning you to the middle of a long page, you jump up to the top and focus on the search box. pita
