    Bike light advice

Hi guys night are drawing in especially now that we've gone to winter time! This is for commuting no XC stuff but the rivierside is unlit so i can only see via moonlight

I've found my existing front LED light is crap and i need to get a new light! I'm looking to spend about £50 but ideally i want something that is easily removed. I've seen some of the Smart stuff http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...x?ModelID=1386 but i don't fancy having wires everywhere and the problem of removing it then re-attaching everything. and also the battery issues of over charging under charging.

So looked at the Cateye EL520 but I've had a few cateye products before and they just don't last when you drop them.

looking at something like this http://www.windwave.co.uk/windwave/3...ml?id=M9InE9TZ from BLT rechargeable which is nice but will it be bright enough??

Any thoughts, advice, experience would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

depends what you want teh light for - if its to see (sounds like it is) you'll be looking at the highend led stuff to provide much light - most of them only have enough to 'be seen'.. if you insist on a 1-box rechargable solution, i think you might end up paying a few pence more

I actually bought a bunch of white LED's and made a replacement bulb for my Cateye, with 2 rechargeable C batteries. It's actually brighter and better than the halogen in there originally.

Do LiIon actually have higher mAH than NiMH? I thuoght they had better lifetime/rechargeability.

You talking London Docklands area? Bit of a nightmare, heh?
