    Windows Media Player 11 bug

hiya. i have a problem i'd like to share. i have MP3 songs on my PC. i use the latest Windows Media Player 11 and i noticed whenever i forward a song using the slider the volume goes "louder" unexpectedly as if there is a sudden bass boost and when i use the volume controller on the bottom bit the sound goes suddenly softer and quieter. this hasnt happend to me before when i have version 10 playing the same MP3 songs. what could be wrong? can you help me please.

version 10 used to do that to me, whenever youd skip it would completly ignore the in program volume setting, havent noticed it in 11 yet, but that could be becasue i just use the system volume.

it might well be a driver issue with your sound card, try setting the master volume, and master wave volume, see if that returns volume to normal, if it dosen't log it to MS!

Its worth noting it can be a codec, for instance i had problems with flac when it had been highly compressed on a rather poor CPU'd box with beta codec.
