Recommendations - mp3 player for my dad

For Chirstmas my mum wants to get my dad an mp3 player, the problem is i dont own one so i dont know whats good and whats bad. We have a budget of about £100 and all it needs is to be very easy to use, have a nice clear screen, look good and have 4-6 gigs worth of memory.

iv had a look around and seen 100s yet iv never used one so i dont know whats good and whats bad. Any advice?

To be honest, you may be best with an iPod nano.
Features and sound quality are not what they are known for (although i think they are still ok), but ease of use is number 1.
This iPod nano 4GB for £120 might fit the bill.

I'd be looking at Sandisk; their E2XX series seem pretty compelling, and a 4GB will set you back a bit less thanb a similar capacity Nano.

Personally I would look at Sandisk or Creative - creative have very easy to use devices and the supportis pretty good, i use a Zen Micro photo 8GB myself, but the new 4GB version should come within budget on somewhere like amazon.co.uk

i would have to say something from rio or iRiver, great quality usually.

of course, another option would be to get a PPC or palm (probabally palm in that price range) and then put a CF card in it, really easy to use, and loads of other functions

Im keen to stay away from the ipods, you seem to pay as much for the brand image as you do for the product itself. What do you think about the player above?
