    Damned hard drive manufacturers. Everyone is happy with multiples of 1024 and Kilo, mega and giga. But they have to go and confuse it all by using multiples of 1000.

    mmm 134mbit. in me up for that and while their at it, they can install something for me to bend over when the RIAA find me

    I couldn't be held responsible for my actions with that much bandwidth

    Now, I was going to point out this slight hitch to someone or other, but figured swarms of others will have done so already.

    Still, make me chuckle. Would be better still if they actually provided it.
    Depends whether they said 16 megabytes a second of 16 megabyte connection (i havnt seen the ad).

    Are the units specified differently these days (compared to when I read Computer Science in the mid-80's)?
    As far as i'm aware the new binary multiple system was adopted in 98 but meh, no one paid any attention really.

    I always see it printed incorrectly. I'll always use the old and always imo correct version (as written by Taz) and that's still used for CS A-Level.

    Evil... behave, don't confuzle matters

    Whichever way you say it it's still wrong.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    nope. you can get a 16 megaBIT connection though. that works out at a 2 megaBYTE line.

    Bandwidth is always measured in bits, data storage is in bytes.

    ^ To make it sound quicker Which I suppose it does physiologically, I don't bother working out what 16mbit would be, I just think, "oooh, 16mb/s, nice"
