    I just gotta wonder what the hell razor92 was searching for to have revived a thread from January 2007??? How to boil milk? What does yawning do?... I dunno..

    that is simple. Water has a very high specific heat - takes a lot of energy to heat it. Bone does not - however to the microwave both are excited about the same, so the bone heats far quicker. Milk being 99% water..


    Also have to count for the convection of water/milk which is the cause of hot water freezing before cold water will.


    I would say both heat at a very similar rate.... with the small cup being quicker.
