    Windy!

It's incredibly windy here today (Albrighton, West Midlands) and has been since the early hours of the morning. Anybody else experiencing the freak weather? The BBC have some coverage on their website and report that "A man has died after a branch fell and went through the windscreen of his car in Bridgnorth, Shropshire".

If you are out and about today, please drive carefully and considerably as the weather really isn't pleasant!

My 40min train took an hour and a half because there is a MAX 50mph speed restriction across the whole of the West Coast Mainline.... Gonna be a fun journey home.

I need someone to hold onto my scarf, or i'll blow away in this weather!

Our entire university network went down for about 30 minutes. There's still not a full service back up.

As the uni provide network services to external companies as well, there's a knock-on effect.

Plus there are people being evacuated from buildings in manchester city centre. Boss was down there before - apparently due to a loose roof (or something) the town hall was evacuated.

The staff are now standing RIGHT OUTSIDE it.

Am I the only one to spot a flaw in this safety exercise?

I've heard a large sided Vehicle has overturned on Chorley New Road so thats going to cause a few logistic issues around the Bolton area.

[UPDATE] Now a huge conifer has blown down as well - striking a car and making the traffic even worse.
[UPDATE2] Barton bridge is now closed according to the radio.

Being Blackpool, it could be either

Just been to the park with the dog and there are 2 uprooted trees, and the wind just lifted me off my feet.

I bet the tree in my gardens not in a verticle condition when I get home tonight as it was wobbly the other day.

I just lost 3 fence panels, saw one fly across the garden, then the wheelie bin (which is chained to it) came next lol.

I know what I'll be doing at the weekend. Yup, asking my mum to come and fix my fence. Mums are awesome.

The evacuation alarms from the chemical factory in my back garden has just gone off. Yay.
