Young Ones FTW! You should seriously consider dreads. Its life changing, low maintenance and you don't have to cut your hair. Everyone wins!
    With love and many thanks,

Cut it, never been a fan of long hair on guys. I get mine cut every few weeks, less hassle when it comes to looking after it.

Yes mate, please get it cut. Some nice straightening, but it's just too long. Go boyband.

@ Worthy : Hehe.. That's the thing - my hair isn't straightened in those photos - that's just how it looks natural after a good bit of brushing and 5 minutes blowdry.. lol.

@ Kickstart : out of interest, you m or f ? As harsh as it is to admit it, many women seem to be pro-shorthair - which is of course part of my reason for considering the cut.
    Shallow, but a consideration..

That's a damn lie! As a fellow straightener, you can't pull the wool over my eyes. Come on, admit it.

    And yes, women love boyband.

No seriously. 10 years of learning to use a decent brush and know how to blow dry has made many women hate me for having decent straight hair. It's thick and heavy too, so I guess the weight helps? Dunno really.

If it were in awful condition, my decision would be easy, but it's not - so round in circles I go..

Good to see the votes coming along tho..

I was in a similar position about 6 months ago. I was offered a job but on the condition that I lop off my hair. So I bit the bullet and had the chop (yes I really needed the job).

The last time I'd had a serious chop was back in '88 and my hair was half way down my back. Now I've punky spikes on top. But I do miss my locks and I'm sad enought to have saved the remains. The thing is, now getting up and out is so much quicker than before. Plus no more hair/kebab incidents too!

So life is easier but I do feel a bit of a sell out on occasion.

Get it cut and go spikey

I had looonnnnng hair between ages about 17 and 21 - judging by the photo pretty much the same length as yours. I loved it, but just got bored of it TBH.

Once you've had it cut, you'll realise that it's not actually that big a deal really.

I voted for "Cut it Hippy", not because I don't think it looks good (cue apparently obligatory hysterical OMG IM NOT A GAY ROFL LOL comment) but because a change is good every now and then. Plus long hair on men should be worn DOWN (that's the LAW), so if you wear it tied back by choice, you may as well just go for the chop. Especially if it's for charidee, mate!

Me thinks that you should keep it long.

And I know a few women that like guys with long hair, perhaps you'll meet one...

Remember, if you cut, and don't like it...10 years is a long time...

I have long(ish) hair, tis gonna get longer still.
