Thing about Saturdays is that hard working couriers have to be paid more to work on them. Free delivery applies to standard delivery. Sorry it's not convenient for you, but thats just the way it works. Can you have it delivered to work? Or can you go to the depot on Saturday yourself?

the depot is pretty much where i work, how do i get to work? 1hr30min bus journey!
dont think il want to lug all that equipment around somehow esp on the bus then i have to walk home (30mins) - so basically i would never be able to pick it up.
i have an idea - if i order for friday chances are it wont get deleivered , but dont citylink try the next day aka saturday? then i would get a sat date for zero delivery charge?

You know, I wish there was a way I could just arrange to pick up packages from the depot nearest to my work. I work longish hours quite far from home, and I'm a contractor so I can't really take liberties like having things delivered to work.

The prospect of having to wait for two failed deliveries, then for the next saturday to come around, then to haul myself out of bed in the morning and get myself down the depot is stopping me from ordering a new CPU and hard drive (I don't mind paying for delivery, but too tight to pay £15 )

That won't work - they'll redeliver on Monday.

Your best bet is either to get someone to wait for you, or take the time off work. Sorry mate.
