Smile Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows !

Was reading an article in The Daily Times today about plans for the launch event and the speculation arousing amongst eager fans as to what Harry's fate will actually be...

I've read the first two books but since the first film came out I've relied on the films to tell the story for me and haven't picked up any of the other books since.
The newspaper was commenting on how bookshops and even online etailers want to cash in on the prospect of largest market share selling the book, some even for as little as a proposed price of £8.10 meaning little to no profit from the actual sale of the book!

Any Potter fans here care to comment on their predictions of Harrys fate / thoughts of the book, And has anyone pre-ordered their copy yet of this book?

You must read the books they are so much better than the films. So much is missed out or different a lot of it important stuff. I have pre-ordered and can't wait until July 21st but it will be sad when its over.

TeePee how can you have read the final book if it hasnt even been wordwidely released yet?
Surely your statement is purely speculation...

So I suppose you don't know that Dumbledore is actually Voldemort then...

How did you draw that conclusion, unless you are joking? I personally don't think thats possible due to tom riddles diary and harry's exploits with dumbledoors sieve thing where he sees tom riddle and dumbledore as two seperate people? I am looking forward to the new book, I've attended two midnight launches for the two most recent books, the first of which (at waterstones) had young children dressed up at which was cool to see I'll have to continue the tradition naturally

General speculation seems to be the Harry isn't going to survive his final year at hogwarts then
I think thats a shame to be honest, I'd much rather have the series end on a much happier note, with him being granted wizard status or something. After all he has been through to stop voldermort and avenge his parents deaths', it
just seems such a waste of time for him to pop his clogs at the end of it all...

'Course he's not going to bleedin' die...I know there's been hints that it might be the case, but you can't have a series of seven huge book, aimed primarily at kids, only to kill the hero off at the end. I'd be very suprised to hear Hermione or Ron die off as well....

Don't reckon he'll die, no chance.

Books are definitely better than the films.

Harry settles down to run a successful Nimbus dealership in Nuneaton, Ron spends a while as Keeper for the 1st division Southampton Spacewalkers before becoming a sports reporter for Radio 5¾, while Hermione's political career flowers for a while before she's involved in a nasty scandal involving a pound of honey and two tubs of Hagrid-Dazs.

Hah he probably will die, but i doubt anyone has read it yet. I mean, JKR was nearly denied access on a transatlantic flight because officials thought that carrying a WIP copy of book 7 was a terrorist risk.
