Just watched it, wasn't as good as I remember, it seems whenever they muddle in his "from the future" plot it's a bit flaky, and when they settle down and just do a few episodes of cop drama, it's ace.

So I hold out hope that the next 4 episodes will be ace, and the last one will finally put it all to rest. But today's made me cringe a bit too much.

Less Sam choking and more Gene hitting people please.

I must admit it took a little while to fall back into it, and I agree that there was a little too much focus on the flashbacks - but I guess that this was mainly done for the benefit of new viewers and those with poor memories.

I got back from Hospital in time to catch the last 20 mins of the first episode and the second episode on BBC4.

Cracking start and it has the potential to be better than the first series. Some rather risky jokes as well in the 2nd episode but hey that's what it was probably like in the 70's.

Saw the first one and am deliberately waiting until next week to see the second. Personally, I think it's got off to a great start.
