    arctic cooling accelero x2 on a x1950xtx

Anyone did this? I know it makes a big difference on an x1800 series card, but apparently the x1900 series have a better cooler. I still think it's a bit too noisy for me, so would an accelero x2 make a big difference at all?

    Cheers

    X1900XTX or X1950XTX?

    There's a huge difference.

If the former, then yes, it'll make a large difference because it's the same retail cooler as the x1800 cards.

If the X1950XTX then no, the retail cooler for this one is pretty good.

For the 1950xtx if you want it quiet and cool i would say go for the thermalright hr-03 or the zalman vf900.

I think that the accelero may cause problems with an x1950XTX as it considerably hotter than the x1900xtx

yeah, it is a x1950xtx.. I know they can withstand a pretty high temperature, but it is actually warming up my whole system hehe.. Would ideally like to get something better but quieter..

thanks guys, I'll have a look at the thermalright and the zalman. Looks like the thermalright with a nice fan would work wonders. Otherwise I'll probably add another loop to the watercooling..
