Two Quick Questions about Graphics Cards

Hey

1: How much difference does the amount of memory on a graphics card make? i.e, what would the performance increase be on a X1950 Pro with 512mb be over an X1950 Pro with 256mb memory?

2: How much difference do the different manufacturing brand make, i.e a sapphire tachnology X1950 pro and an ASUS X1950 Pro or whatever. which are the best?

The first one is dependent on the resolution of the screen.. higher resolutions require bigger texture maps etc.. which take up more memory. so at low resolutions hardly any difference at higher resolutions..lots..

The cards will be much to same just different coolers..the other thing to concern yourself with is which has the best warranty and which company is best to deal with if anything should go wrong.

manufacters usually have: differnt coolers, warranty, freebies (cables, stickers etc) and some are overclocked... but thats extra.
