    Do you mean HDCP? Never noticed that typo before!
    some 8500 will do hdtv but have a big red cross next to HDCP at scan. If thats the case you'll need an 8600


    The cheapest on scan marked up as doing HDCP is this one.

    Click on technical specifications 'HDCP' There'll be a red cross or green tick if it will work or not.

    i meant HTPC - as in my PC...

    HDCP is the copy protection on HD stuff, so your hardware needs to be compliant.

    I think all the 8-series are compliant even if Scan says not,but id have to check that!

    any news on a card that outputs DD+ or DTS-HD over HDMI?
