I used the RGB colour profile here for my "A" panel, but mine is a 226BW like in the article, not a 206BW:

Unless you can find someone who's published their RGB values for exactly the same panel as you have, you'll either need to purchase colour calibration software/equipment or adjust it by eye until it looks correct.
There are now a couple of ISO standards for dead pixels that most monitors stick too:

Most monitors are Class II, so if your monitor states what class it is you can return it as faulty if it doesn't adhere to the standards it claims to adhere to.
Cheers for clearing that up Kalniel, I'm assuming some retailers are happier about resolving customers problems with dead pixels than others? If anyone can recommend a retailer that has helped them with this very issue before then I'd really appreciate hearing from you. I'd absolutley dread turning on my new LCD screen on having spent a few hundred quid, only to be greeted by a nasty stuck pixel before my eyes and then having to face the thought of the RMA procedure etc. A happy boy I would not be and the name of a sympathetic retailer would be reassuring if this was indeed the case.
