    1. This is on today only on scan http://www.scan.co.uk/products/produ...oductID=643413

An alternative would be this if you wanna avoid any DX10 cards

http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=442875 but you would have to waiT for stock

Unfortunately pretty much all the decent cheap cards are out of stock on scan atm.
Wat will you be using it for? some mild gaming or just standard apps?

    http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/119713
Are very basic and would do the job for next to nothing. If there is some gaming involved then

    http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/119699

    or

    2. VGA is an analogue signal therefore it can lose strength the further away from the source & the more interlinks it has on it so its not advisable but it might work

    3. I imagine this is possible but i couldnt point you int he right direction of the software you would need.

fan might be a little noisey but its ok. If its just for usual windows apps then u go for a cheaper passively cooled option

little gaming but not much, noise is not a problem as it doesnt bother me living in london the cars/police cars outside my window are noisier than any pc fan ive ever had.. i will probly overclock the card anyway, which out of your selections and mine do u think would benefit the most for alittle gaming.. ? (and im not looking at new games just older direct9 ones mostly driving, and emulators, but the more power for games it has all the better)

and does anyone know of any software that can do what i was asking in question 3?

£40 is very tight for a gaming gfx card however any of them that have been suggested will do if itis only light gaming. Do try and avoid any 'turbocache' style cards if you are going to be gaming though.

Another £10-20 and you could get a 7600/x1650 which would be pretty good for the cause.

An X800GT for £46 (with built in tv tuner )

    7600gs for £47

Only if you like mega ghosting. I'd not do it TBH.

Generally the extension VGA is not a problem, on any thing under 10m or 3 cables at lower resolutions (ie 1280x1024 or less)

To connect multiple vga cables together to extend the length, then you want a male to female connectors on the extension cable. (also get shielded cables for preferance)

Misco not the cheapest out there but they sell everything
    http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/...Tab=2&NoMapp=0
    VGA male to female 7.5m

EDIT: better still http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/...8855&CatId=908 Belkin VGA male to female 7.5m, same thing but cheaper

Should be possible, but you'd need some meaty specs to do it, esp if any gameing is involved.
Also don't think thoes graphics cards could cut it if any gameing is in volved.

thanks for all the input i found a 7600gs for 43 on ebuyer and 7.5m

as for 2 people using both monitors i was just wondering if it could be done how?
it doesnt need to be for gaming, 2 people browsing the web for example or even one watching a dvd while the other browses?
