    Quick 8800GTS question

Just wondering if my 8800GTS should output from both DVIs. I unplugged the monitoor to use on another PC and when plugging the monitor back in I used the other DVI port but nothing happened.

    Cheers

The pc maybe needs to started with a monitor on DVI 1, connect DVI 2 then you can reboot with DVI unplugged as the 2nd source will have been detected and activated.

You certianly had to do that with older cards with dual VGA or DVI option IIRC.

Check your settings in the graphic card control panel - most cards output on both ports and it doesn't matter which you use at the start.

thanks for the replies. it would be great if someone could try booting up using the left DVI port as you look at it from the rear of the case.

Thats the port i've always used, i tried yesterday plugging in my hdtv via dvi but it didn't appear instantly so I had to run the nvidia wizard to get it up and running.
