    Gfx crashing

    i am having some probs with my gfx not sure if its the card or something else
    seems to only happen playing games WoW and Cod4
    all runs fine then screen locks and pc needs to be restarted

    system event viewer shows ati2mtag error
    i also get some times VPU recovery has reset your gfx accelerator

    the card is an ati X800xtpe @ default speeds
    m/b is msi neo plat with amd 3200+

    i tryed uninstalling old ati drivers useing driver cleaner and tryed latest ati's
    had still same probs so i tryed the latest Omega drivers and still getting the same thing

    any help be much appreciated

    What kind of temperatures is your card hitting under load?

    tbh m8 i have never monitored them the crashes are random sometimes pc can go all night and somethings it crashes when a game is just loaded so i dont think heat is the problem

    Try turning off VPU recovery in the ati catalyst control centre. I've often found in the past that this VPU recovery thing can cause issues.
